On Friday 2 December 2022 saw the first breakfast meeting of the NDCA North Dorset Business Forum at Ashley Wood Golf Club. The principal guest was Rt. Hon. John Glen MP Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
23 business owners from across the constituency discussed with Simon Hoare and John Glen the things that were getting in the way of them doing business in North Dorset namely: the need for better energy infrastructure, shortage of skilled labour, too much regulation around exports and the need for a streamlined planning process.
Simon and John took away these issues and will discuss them with ministers and government departments and feedback at future Forums.
